of Route 2, died in Randolph County Hospital Thursday. He was born in
Randolph county, March 8, 1894, a son of the late James P. and Mary
Elizabeth Chesser. He was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services
were conducted at the Church of Christ here at 2 o'clock Sunday
afternoon by Bro. Paul Evans. Interment was in Masonic cemetery under
the direction of McNabb Funeral Home. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Opal
Chesser of the home; three sons, James Doland of Flint, Mich., Billie
Joe and Charles W., of Odessa, Texas; 5 grandchildren; three brothers,
Dolph of Pocahontas, Borden of Alicia and Paul Chesser of Akron, Ohio;
a sister, Mrs. Nema Belew of Pocahontas. Ark, PFC, Co 153, Depot
Brigade, World War I.
